🧾 About the Role
Velera, the premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO), is hiring a Fraud Detection Representative to help protect financial institutions from fraudulent activity. You’ll monitor debit and credit card transactions using industry tools and place or respond to calls to stop fraud in its tracks. This is a full-time, remote role with training starting September 2, 2025.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Review and analyze debit/credit card cases using Falcon Fraud Detection
• Place and respond to calls regarding suspected fraud and stolen accounts
• Flag fraud trends and share insight with management for fast response
• Document account activity accurately to prevent loss and limit exposure
• Follow structured policies via knowledge base resources
• Respond to high-volume inbound/outbound calls professionally
• Track performance and meet quality benchmarks
• Assist with fraud trend monitoring, documentation, and prevention strategy
• Collaborate with team members to ensure service consistency
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6+ months customer service experience (call center preferred)
• 1+ year fraud detection or investigation experience preferred
• Proficient with PC-based systems and multitasking tools
• Sharp attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
• Comfortable navigating between multiple systems under pressure
• Able to work varied shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
💻 Remote Requirements
• Quiet, secure home office with no background noise
• High-speed internet: minimum 100 Mbps download / 30 Mbps upload
• Ethernet connection (Velera will provide cable)
