Schedule
- Fully remote position
- Full-time role in a high-volume contact center
- Flexible scheduling; must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Includes paid training and ongoing professional development
Responsibilities
- Convert inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries into confirmed bookings for Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations
- Build strong relationships with customers and travel advisors to drive repeat business
- Qualify leads, understand travel goals, and design customized itineraries
- Present pricing, upsell opportunities, and limited-time offers to maximize revenue
- Meet or exceed sales targets, conversion rates, and key performance metrics
- Maintain expert knowledge of rail routes, destinations, and packages
- Accurately track leads, quotes, and bookings in CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and exceptional customer experience
- Stay current with product training and sales coaching
Requirements
- 2+ years in a high-volume customer service contact center, preferably in travel, hospitality, or transportation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence
- Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize with customer needs
- Proven problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for travel and delivering memorable guest experiences
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
