Reporting to the Transcript Evaluation Lead, the Transcript Evaluator is responsible for the assessment of students’ academic records to determine if their previously completed courses are eligible to be accepted as transfer credit at Berklee Online. They provide unofficial and official transfer evaluations, enter data into relevant Berklee systems, and are responsible for the following areas:
· Degree Completion, which assists former Berklee College of Music students as they seek to complete their undergraduate degrees online.
· Study Abroad, supporting online degree students in application and schedule planning as they prepare to study at Berklee’s Valencia campus.
Transfer Credit Evaluation:
● Evaluate external and internal transcripts to determine equivalent transfer credit in accordance with Berklee Online’s transfer credit policies.
● Complete transfer evaluations for students (unofficial for prospective students and official for admitted students) in a precise, timely manner and communicate that information to the student.
● Obtain course descriptions, catalogs, and institutional information via web research, online transfer databases, and contacting other colleges and universities for the purpose of making an accurate course match.
● Ensure that official and unofficial transfer credit is quickly, accurately, and completely recorded in the Student Information System and the Customer Relationship Management System to support degree audit and advising.
● Assist in identifying at-risk students based on their enrollment history.
● Assist in the record recreation of historical Berklee Online completed coursework for matriculated students.
● Assist in the maintenance of transfer related policy and procedural documentation, in compliance with FERPA.
● Assist in in-house audits of transfer evaluations and student records to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
● Assist in processing change of major requests for matriculated students and reenrollment requests for returning students
Degree Completion:
● Work with the Degree Completion Advisor to provide unofficial and official transfer assessments for former Berklee College of Music students interested in completing their degree through the Berklee Online Bachelor of Arts program.
● Coordinate with the Degree Completion Team in the rebuild of historical Berklee College of Music student records in the Student Information System.
● Track down archival records for former students in concert with the Berklee Online Admissions team and the Berklee College of Music Registrar’s Office.
● Assist in degree completion related reporting.
● Attend bi-weekly meetings of the Interdepartmental Degree Completion Team and communicate updates.
● Create “SAP Assistance” program on a case-by-case basis for at-risk former campus students to assist them in completing their degree.
Study Abroad:
● Review Berklee Online student applications for Berklee Study Abroad program.
● Work with each student to create a schedule in Valencia that will transfer back to Berklee Online degree requirements
● Serve as a touchpoint for students from initial inquiry through completion of the study abroad program.
● Update student status throughout process for accuracy in reporting and a smooth student experience
● Ensure credit from Valencia campus is correctly applied to student record after completion of study abroad.

● Experience working with transcripts, transfer credits, transfer credit evaluations, and/or degree audits.
● Experience in a Registrar or Admissions Office.
● Experience with Colleague/Datatel and Salesforce.
