The Total Rewards Specialist will be the primary point of contact for leave inquiries responsible for administering all company leaves by maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all federal and state leave regulations adhering to the highest standard of customer service. The specialist will also provide general administrative support to the entire Total Rewards department.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Workers Compensation/Leave of Absence Management
– Maintain database of all company leave events
– Coordinate with outside disability vendor and payroll to ensure timely, accurate pay for employees on leave.
– Coordinate with outside workers compensation vendor.
– Provide superior customer service through consistent, regular communication with the employee, manager and HR staff as appropriate
• Primary point of contact for employee issues related to leaves of absence & workers compensation claims.
• Maintain complete and accurate workers compensation/leave files and records.
• Provide high level of customer service, responding to employee and management requests.
• Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance regarding taxes, reporting, and privacy issues as related to leave of absence and workers compensation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist benefits team with annual enrollment process
• Understand all benefit plans and be able to accurately assist employees with questions regarding enrollment, eligibility, coverage and processes
• General Benefits and Compensation duties as needed.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
• High school degree required. Bachelor degree preferred but work experience may substitute
• Experience managing leaves in California and New Jersey a plus
• Certified Benefits Professional preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel skill
• Ability to learn and apply company policy, internal HR procedures, and regulatory guidelines within scope of duties
• Excellent business writing and communication skills. Ability to interact at all organization levels
• Must work well in a multi-site team environment
