Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM PST
- Temporary position
Compensation
- $17 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Verify insurance coverage and medication formularies
- Submit and track prescription prior authorizations (phone, fax, and electronic platforms)
- Coordinate with insurers, pharmacies, and providers to avoid delays in patient treatment
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on pending approvals
- Handle patient questions regarding authorization status
- Navigate eClinicalWorks (encounters, notes, provider directives)
- Comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 privacy standards
- Maintain consistent attendance and contribute to positive patient experience
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer proficiency (Excel, email, documentation systems)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and customer care mindset
Nice to Have
- Prior office or healthcare support experience
- Familiarity with prior authorizations or insurance processes
- Understanding of chemical dependency and treatment environments
