Westat, a well-known research organization, seeks experienced telephone interviewers to work on a project that starts in late June 2024 and requires a federal clearance.
The primary activity of this position is asking questions over the phone following a specific script. Competitive salary. In addition to accruing paid sick leave on all assignments, other benefits such as holiday pay, and vacation accrual may be offered based on the project assignment.
Candidates must be able to work 15-40 hours per week, during any of the following times: ·
- Afternoons (12 pm – 6 pm ET),
- Evenings (6 pm – 10 pm ET), and
- Weekends (Sat 10 am – 6 pm ET; Sun 2 pm – 9 pm ET).
You must be:
- 18 years of age or older,
- have at least six months of phone interviewing experience,
- be willing to submit to and pass a federal background clearance (eAPP and fingerprinting),
- provide a voice sample, and
- have strong computer skills.
You must meet ALL of the following equipment requirements at the time of application submission:
- Operating system of Windows 10 or higher (needs to be up to date on all Windows updates specific to your operating system.)
- 600 MB of free hard-drive space
- Edge is preferred – the most current non-beta version (may need to be run in compatibility mode if you experience problems while working on any platform), Chrome is also an acceptable browser.
- Up-to-date Acrobat Reader software. (can be downloaded for free)
- An up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware (also known as internet protection suites) with current and updated virus definitions. Kaspersky is not currently supported.
- Firewall protection either through router/gateway or internet protection suite software.
- A wired (not wireless/Wi-Fi) connection to your router/gateway is required.
- Your work environment should include a quiet, private, and secure workspace to conduct interviews (does not have to be a dedicated office, but the work environment must be quiet and secure during work all hours, including training).
