SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing accounting services for the corporation and maintaining its financial records in compliance with all federal, state, local and professional requirements by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

1. Prepares and performs various journal entries to maintain the corporation’s account books.

2. Develops and maintains accounting systems and procedures for the corporation by maintaining books of accounts, cash figures and related matters.

3. Provides necessary training for using accounting systems and procedures to related staff.

4. Prepares and analyzes all financial reports as required to comply with internal and external reporting requirements.

5. Monitors departmental budgets throughout the year and reports any significant deviations to management with analysis detailing the cause for the deviation and corrective action(s) necessary.

6. Maintains all general ledger accounts on a regular basis.

7. Applies knowledge of accounting principles on a regular basis.

8. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.

9. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.

10. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company’s strategic goals.

11. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV’s quality standards and strategic initiatives.

12. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.

13. May be required to work overtime.

14. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; minimum of two years of related experience.

Language Ability: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.

Technology Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in operating a computer, having knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software.

$60-75

Base Pay is adjusted based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
