Employer: Amplify Credit Union
Life at Amplify
As a growing, tech-focused credit union, Amplify Credit Union delivers value to our members through our products and impact to our community through our profits. That unique intersection is one reason we’ve been named a Top Workplace for three years in a row by the Austin American-Statesman. We’re looking for teammates who are inspired by that mission and ready to grow their careers. As they do, our employees can expect Amplify to uphold our commitments to culture, community, inclusion and more.
What You Bring
Even in this digital world of banking where almost everything is done online, there are times when people need a helping hand or an answer to a question. Maybe they are having problems logging into their online banking account. Or maybe their debit card isn’t working. Or perhaps they are wondering how to apply for a car loan. No matter what the situation, as a Service Agent at Amplify, you will be there to help them when they call. You are the warm voice on the other end of the line who ensures their questions are answered, their needs are met, and they leave the conversation knowing more than they did when they called.
Qualifications and Other Information
We believe these underlying skills are the most important part of the job:
- Empathy. When our customers call us, they may be dealing with an upsetting situation. We put ourselves in their shoes to understand their perspective. We “read the room†and make sure that we are offering the assistance our customers need, rather than a scripted conversation.
- Knowledge. We strive to educate our customers at every opportunity, whether that is explaining the types of loans we offer or showing them how to use online banking. We have a wealth of information to help our customers, but if we don’t know the answer to their question, we will find it.
- Detail Oriented. We know that banking is all about the details – transpose a couple of numbers and a deposit that was supposed to go to one account ends up in another. We check and double-check our work, confirm the actions we are taking with the customer, and keep a watchful eye (and ear) for indications that a customer may be experiencing fraud.
In addition, the following skills and experience are helpful:
- previous financial services experience or call center experience
- ability to speak Spanish fluently
