Responsibilities

  • Follow-up to ensure any Service Now tickets assigned to the Hospice Team are completed
  • Develop Huddle Notes and Lead Huddles
  • Assist Billers with questions or concerns
  • Add staff absences to the department calendar
  • Participate in monthly one-on-one with the Manager
  • Insure Hospice correspondence is completed daily
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication
  • Set clear team goals
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Oversee day-to-day operation
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Motivate team members
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching

Requirements and skills

  • Some healthcare billing knowledge
  • Some eligibility verification and claims processing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Good PC skills, especially MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Team Leader work experience
