We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Audit Trainer to join the Professional Services team. In this role, you will deliver web based and live training sessions on audit methodology and related AuditWatch content to public accounting firms. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to blend creativity, presentation skills, and technical expertise in developing and delivering high-quality and impactful content.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Senior Audit Trainer, you will:
- Deliver technical and soft-skill audit content to customers, through on-site training, conferences, seminars, or webinars.
- Develop course content related to our various AuditWatch courses.
- Travel to seminar sites, with some sites necessitating cross-country travel. Amount of travel varies according to need and this role would typically be 40 – 60 days per year.
- Keep up to date on industry laws and standards and serve as a subject matter expert for the Professional Services team, and other Thomson Reuters departments.
- Collaborate and innovate as a member of an agile squad, including developing and executing on ideas for customer offerings.
- Manage logistics and administrative tasks for all engagements you are assigned, including timely follow ups to customer inquiries.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Audit Trainer if your background includes:
- Bachelor degree, advanced degree desirable
- CPA with strong audit experience
- 6+ years of experience with an accounting firm as an experienced senior or manager, including experience supervising and reviewing work of others and interacting with clients
- Strong presentation & facilitation skills – prior teaching or training experience at a national or regional firm is preferred
- Solid writing skills, including presentation development and technical writing
- Ability to meet internal and customer deadlines
- Self–starter mindset with discipline to work remotely as part of a virtual team
- Knowledge of the PPC audit methodology is preferred
Compensation: $153,000 Annual Base Salary + 8% Annual Income Bonus

The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $102,200 – $189,800. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
