The Sales Operations Associate will be responsible for providing sales operations support to various sales functions. The primary goal of this position will be to provide administrative assistance and quality assurance to support the sales cycle. This role will work across business lines to help implement sales operations key initiatives.
Requirements
- Responsible for understanding the internal sales process from opportunity creation through project notification to better assist the sales team.
- Provides support to the sales team regarding processes and systems through the sales cycle.
- Acts as a member of the primary Sales Quality Assurance (QA) Team, striving to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency in the sales quality review process.
- Works closely with sales team members to resolve Sales QA outstanding issues, guiding team members through the process to alleviate as much administrative effort for sales as possible.
- Acts as liaison between the sales team and other internal customers such as procurement and accounting.
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency improvements by understanding bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Proposes new process alternatives.
- Acts as pre-contract resource to sales teams to ensure all appropriate documents are included in customer contract package, as well as ensuring all appropriate Terms & Conditions are set forth on those contracts for billing needs.
- Instructs Sales teams on contract requirements, including reviewing Terms & Conditions for accuracy, consistency, and relevance, advising on adjustments as needed to ensure documents meet the requirements of potential Avtex audits.
- Works with the sales team to ensure data accuracy and integrity in our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
- Assists with supporting initiatives implemented to streamline the organization such as Experlogix, Contract Express, and DocuSign.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or sales related field, or equivalent experience in a professional services environment.
- 1-3 years experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably for a sales team
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
- High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and timelines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Optimistic, proactive, energetic approach to work habits and communications.
- Ability to influence without authority across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
