Schedule
- Full-time, remote (occasional on-site visits as needed)
- Shifts: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday
- Eastern Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Central Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Mountain Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Pacific Time: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Initial training: Monday–Friday schedule (first few weeks/months)
Responsibilities
- Deliver superior customer service for residential security products through phone, email, chat, and other channels
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and guide customers to solutions
- Generate and manage service request tickets with accurate details
- Develop working knowledge of Allegion’s mechanical, keypad, and integrated consumer products
- Use manuals, instruction sheets, and product references to assist customers
- Collaborate in internal chat forums and escalate issues when necessary
- Meet service level agreements and KPIs set by management
- Build trust by following through on customer commitments and advocating for customer satisfaction
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- 3+ years of customer service experience (preferred)
- 12+ months of call center experience (preferred)
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM (corrected)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic web applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using smart device applications
- Ability to identify recurring customer issues and escalate appropriately
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
