Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm EST
- Pay: $58,000–$60,000+ annually
Responsibilities
- Post insurance payments, patient payments, adjustments, and denials into Epic (PB and/or HB)
- Reconcile batches to ERA files, paper EOBs, and deposit reports
- Review remittance codes, adjustments, and denial reasons; escalate discrepancies as needed
- Collaborate with AR, denials, cash posting, and finance teams to ensure payment accuracy
- Process refund requests and payment reclassifications
- Maintain compliance documentation for HIPAA and SOX standards
- Meet productivity (≥ 95% assigned volume) and accuracy benchmarks (≥ 98%)
- Complete all remittance postings within 48 hours of receipt
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 1+ year experience in payment posting or revenue cycle operations
- Proficient with Epic Resolute (PB and/or HB)
- Strong knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, payer reimbursement logic, and denial codes
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer remittance formats
