Schedule

  • Full-time, remote role within the United States
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM CT
  • Salary: $45,000–$55,000 annually, with benefits

What You’ll Do

  • Enroll and support clients referred to Pomelo’s doula network from health plans, providers, and partners.
  • Conduct outbound calls, texts, and emails to educate clients on doula services and drive enrollment.
  • Document referrals and interactions with accuracy and timeliness in internal systems.
  • Match clients with doulas in Pomelo’s national network based on eligibility and needs.
  • Confirm health plan eligibility via online portals and clearinghouse tools.
  • Collaborate with health plan case managers, providers, and doulas to coordinate care.
  • Answer inbound calls from clients and partners with professionalism and empathy.
  • Track and monitor referral progress, ensuring timely follow-up and communication.
  • Participate in training and process improvements to support company KPIs.

What You Need

  • Fluency in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate professionally in both.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • 1+ years of experience with healthcare referrals, Medicaid populations, or client-facing roles.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
  • Passion for improving maternal and infant health outcomes.
  • Bonus points for experience in:
    • Startups or fast-paced environments
    • Administrative or revenue-driving roles
    • Scoping and problem-solving in ambiguous situations
