Position Overview:
We are searching for a passionate Referral Coordinator to join our dynamic care team. This role requires a professional who is comfortable speaking on the phone with a variety of stakeholders, including patients, doctors, caregivers, vendors, etc. As the first point-of-contact for our users, the successful candidate is expected to be able to deal with a variety of situations while maintaining a pleasant demeanor and positively representing the program. The Referral Coordinator will be responsible for reaching out to users and booking their first consultation, as well as confirming their insurance eligibility through Office Ally. As a Referral Coordinator, you will also be expected to complete various administrative tasks to ensure a smooth delivery of the program for all participants, such as helping with internal workflows, scheduling, and following up with users, among other tasks. This position is fully remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that all referrals are processed in a timely and efficient manner and according to the referral procedure guidelines
Explain and enroll patients in the vPR Program
Maintains referral tracking system and up to date referrals documentation
Promotes positive patient relations in accordance with BreatheSuite policies, providing a high level of quality in personal attention and service to patients
Maintain consistent, timely communication regarding all facets of departmental activities with co-workers, demonstrating good customer service skills with both external and internal customers
Responsible for providing support to the care team in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various BreatheSuite services
Acts as a liaison between hospital, health plans, physicians, patients, caregivers, vendors and other referral sources
Reviews referrals for completeness and follows up for additional information if necessary
Verifies patient demographic information and insurance eligibility including coordination of benefits; updates and confirms as necessary to allow processing of claims to insurance plans
Answering office phones, making appointments, confirming appointments and rescheduling when necessary
Complete internal documentation, assist with internal workflows
Assist with patient scheduling, as well as various follow-ups and communications
Provide overall administrative support for the Care Team
Assist with customer support as necessary
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Must be able to communicate effectively with care team members, patients, caregivers, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers
Strong customer service focus and willingness to problem solve
Proficient in outpatient physical therapy billing rules and regulations
Experience communicating and connecting virtually with Slack
