**The position is eligible for remote employment; it will exclude the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Mississippi, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.**
The Recruiting Coordinator provides administrative support to the Macmillan Learning Talent Acquisition (TA) team in a variety of areas including administrative support, full-cycle recruiting, new hire orientation, project management, creating presentations, data analysis, and process improvement. The Coordinator collaborates in attracting candidates and increasing brand awareness in the marketplace, helping ensure efficiency and equity in internal and candidate-facing processes. The Coordinator assists in building a pipeline of diverse, qualified candidates and assists in implementing strategies to make the talent acquisition process more engaging and appealing for candidates.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including: posting job ads, sourcing for roles as needed, reviewing passive applications, conducting phone screenings, interview and onboard new hires.
- Build working relationships with hiring managers to effectively partner with them to hire for their open requisition(s).
- Help with various recruiting projects; build resources for internal employees, document processes, perform research on diversity recruiting strategies, etc.
- Research recruiting and market trends, and external best practices to enhance strategy and to hit recruitment targets.
- Increase employer branding by generating and publishing content about the company mission, goals, benefits, and thought leadership through social media (internal and external), networking groups, and recruiting events.
- Handle vendor relationship management, to include our contacts with various job posting sites and institutions that we recruit from.
- Assist with conduct gap analyses of current recruiting processes and resources and compare findings with what may be needed to accomplish short and long term hiring and onboarding needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience (including internship experience) in Talent Acquisition
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, including ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Experience working in a team environment, especially a distributed or remote team.
- Experience building strong relationships at different levels within an organization .
- Ability to build productive relationships within the Macmillan network and in the marketplace.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple ranges of administrative duties requiring independent judgment and initiative.
- Experience communicating complex process information verbally, in writing, and in presentation to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with diversity recruitment sourcing, implementation, and strategy.
- Experience in a Customer-Facing role.
- Experience in education or publishing industries.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
