Schedule
- Remote role; preference for candidates in NY or MD
- Full-time, hourly position
- Must be available for standard business hours
- Compliance with HIPAA and data security guidelines required
Responsibilities
- Accurately create, update, and terminate provider, office, and payee records across three provider databases
- Manage both contracted and non-contracted provider data for claims processing, authorizations, and provider directories
- Conduct audits and troubleshoot provider data issues using NPI Registry, Medicaid files, and tax ID verification
- Maintain compliance with IRS standards and support annual 1099-B resolution
- Educate providers and internal teams on provider data accuracy and directory regulations
- Process directory updates from vendors and implement database enhancements
- Contact providers to validate data and maintain network quality
- Support cross-departmental projects, IT initiatives, and process improvements
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in managed care within provider data management, credentialing, network management, or provider relations
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Direct experience managing provider data and/or claims processing
- Familiarity with CMS Provider Directory regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle PHI/PII with confidentiality and discretion
