Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote role
- Must be flexible and available to work extended hours during peak proposal cycles
Responsibilities
- Develop clear, compelling content for RFx responses, proposals, and related business development initiatives
- Write and edit case studies, past performance narratives, white papers, capability statements, and marketing collateral
- Interview subject matter experts (SMEs) and translate technical concepts into persuasive, easy-to-understand language
- Draft narrative content from technical notes, bullet points, or discussions
- Format and finalize deliverables using advanced Microsoft Word features (styles, templates, tables, cross-references)
- Create high-level visual solution representations
- Maintain and update boilerplate content when not working on active proposals
- Attend proposal and business development meetings to support strategic direction
- Work collaboratively with a manager, accept feedback constructively, and continuously refine writing for clarity and tone
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and time-sensitive assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of experience writing Federal/SLED government proposals
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (formatting, templates, document automation)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written communication abilities
- Strong sense of ownership with ability to self-review and refine work
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Calm and composed under pressure, with a track record of reliability and attendance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- Basic understanding of call center operations
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Cloud, AI Assistants, Bots, and Conversational AI a plus
- Curious and eager to learn about new solutions and technologies
