Job Purpose

The role of the Proposal Coordinator is to support our sales functions by responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as providing accurate and timely information about AmeriBen’s services and processes for potential new clients. The position is fast-paced and collaborative, while also requiring a great attention to detail.

Key Functions

  • Facilitates completion of basic RFPs from receipt to proposal delivery, including collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and proposal is delivered on time.
  • Communicates using a variety of channels to collaborate with sales and executive professionals in a clear and concise manner to strategize on providing a quality RFP response.
  • Manages the RFP process by analyzing, researching and interpreting RFP data, in order to prepare and submit proposal with a high level of accuracy and relevant details in order to win new business.
  • Works in a dynamic environment, under tight timelines and stressful periods of time, responding timely to incoming requests/inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, to meet strict deadlines.
  • Maintains prospect database that is utilized to provide metrics and analytics
  • Manages multiple RFPs or projects concurrently with Accuracy, Customer Service, and Timely Turnaround, which often requires frequent task-switching.
  • Coordinates and participates in meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Participates in team projects as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure individual and group goals are achieved with Accuracy, Customer Service and Timely Turnaround.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications & Education

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Business, English, or Communications, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic health insurance industry knowledge or experience
  • Basic project management experience
  • Basic understanding of or experience in sales or proposal processes
