The Opportunity…
The Program Assistant will share responsibility for the Program Department’s general Single-Family administration duties, which include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Field and respond to various program-related inquiries
Quality Control (QC) project documentation for completeness and accuracy per various program rules, both at the beginning and end of the project life cycle, ensuring projects are ready for invoicing
Review and submit multiple project documents at different project stages on a daily basis, working to move projects forward
Work cross‐departmentally with GRID staff in Affiliate Offices to coordinate project logistics, identify and troubleshoot compliance issues needing correction, and provide general guidance to staff as needed
Submit Interconnection Applications for projects in Utilities across CA
Support other administrative duties associated with future funding programs (E.g.: Battery Storage program etc.)
What you need to bring to this role…
Effective at organizing, prioritizing, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner in coordination with internal and external teammates
Self-directed, motivated, and highly organized in order to complete the workload in a timely manner
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong oral and written communication skills and listening skills
Ready and able to work in collaboration with a large team across multiple programs
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads

It would be great if you also had…
1+ years of experience relevant to the position responsibilities and scope, with a proven track record of success
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software
Experience with administration of renewable energy-related programs
Non-profit experience
Passionate about renewable energy, affordable housing, and/or environment/environmental justice work
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel; and Google tools, particularly Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
Experience teleworking and working with remote teams
*Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.

Where you will sit & the places you may go
This position is remote and may involve some travel to sites locally and occasional out-of-town travel such as team retreats annually held in California. GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel
and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use, and the applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay range of $20-$26 ($42k-$54k annually), commensurate with experience.
