What You’ll Do
- Conduct inpatient and outpatient ProFee coding audits across specialties using ICD-10-CM and CPT
- Review documentation for accurate DRG/APC assignment and correct HCPCS/CPT coding
- Provide education to coders, clinical teams, and physicians based on audit findings
- Prepare reports, resolve discrepancies, and participate in audit review discussions
- Maintain compliance with AHIMA ethics and stay current on regulatory changes
What You Need
- 3–5 years of ProFee auditing experience across multiple specialties
- Strong expertise in neurosurgery and orthopedics; IR and HCC experience is a plus
- CCS preferred (RHIT/RHIA a plus); AHIMA or AAPC training accepted
- Proven accuracy (95%+) and productivity in academic/Level 1 trauma environments
- Experience with EMRs, encoder tools, and audit software
