As the Production coordinator supporting our Consumer Brands Production team, you will be responsible for supporting production planning for new and existing products for 1-2 brands. This entails creation of purchase orders, tracking and management of components and finished goods, and month end reporting. The goal is to ensure a smooth flow throughout the production process in the supply chain. The Production Coordinator will also assist the Production team with administrative, operational and supply chain tasks. This role is non-exempt and will report directly to the Brand Production Planning Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Execute day to day purchasing activities (issue purchase orders, work orders, transfer order, manage open purchase orders, drive on-time deliveries)
- Coordinate Master Data entry and oversee Order Management
- Manage on time delivery of finished goods, components, and enter work orders
- Communicate out risk for deliveries to internal team members
- Assist with componentry inventory reconciliation and resolve consumption issues
- Collaborate with and improve shipping process and communication with suppliers and Logistics partners
- Ensure financial accountability through three way match process
- Own and follow up on PO approval, acknowledgement, receipt, and payment
- Support Production managers on special projects
- Ownership of system reports (COGS analysis, on time deliveries, transfer orders…)
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in supply planning, production & purchasing and/or other relative inventory management experience
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) and coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to perform quickly under pressure and be flexible to changes in direction
- Team player, experience in working in a highly cross-functional organization
- Be detailed oriented and have timely execution
- Associate degree or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
- NetSuite system experience preferred
- Experience working with third party contract manufacturers and distributors a plus
