This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reify Health’s Compliance team to advise and implement data privacy principles across Reify Health’s cloud software services and data infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with Reify’s product, engineering, and data functions to advise on matters related to data protection regulatory compliance and privacy principles. This person will be regularly involved in high-level strategic conversations with the Director of Compliance and will also engage with key stakeholders on a granular level to manage privacy risk and provide tactical guidance on privacy compliance within Reify’s continuously expanding software and services. A successful candidate will be a self-starter with hands-on experience implementing data protection principles within a global technology company.
What You’ll Work On
- Provide expertise in data protection compliance within the healthcare space, including GDPR, HIPAA, GCP, PIPL, and other regional privacy and healthcare laws worldwide. Experience in the clinical trial space is a plus, but not required.
- Engage business team members on the practical application of data protection standards to all stages of the cloud software product lifecycle.
- Work closely with Reify’s data engineering team to advise on cross-border data flows, data localization, and other questions related to Reify’s global data infrastructure.
- Collaborate as a partner to Reify’s information security team.
- Communicate clearly with team members in all business functions, particularly within the product, engineering, security, and data architecture spaces.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and provide regular reporting to key stakeholders within the company.
- Educate and empower business units to champion data protection principles across Reify’s product development and data management activities worldwide. Experience designing and delivering impactful training presentations is a plus.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives across departments.
- Proactively monitor systems and processes to ensure compliance with privacy principles, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Support internal and external regulatory audits.
What You Bring to Reify Health
- 5+ years of experience in the practical application of data protection principles in a business setting.
- 3+ years of experience working within the cloud software space.
- Practical experience interpreting global regulatory standards. Law degree or other formal legal training preferred. IAPP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing data privacy compliance within the software industry.
- Conversant in technical security and data architecture standards and vocabulary with an ability to provide clear, specific guidance to technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and collaborating as part of a cross-functional team effort.
- Self-driven, problem-solver mindset with the ability to lead and manage projects, meet deadlines, and demonstrate an ability to identify and execute course corrections in a timely way.
- Team player attitude and enthusiasm for joining as a key member of a growing, impactful in-house team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of communicating legal and regulatory standards clearly and pragmatically.
