JOB TITLE: Software Product Manager
DEPARTMENT: JusticeTech
REPORTS TO: Director of Product
JOB LOCATION: Remote
TRAVEL: 10-15%
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a modern, web-based court software suite.
- Lead and mentor Product Owners and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear ownership, collaboration, and alignment of priorities.
- Manage the end-to-end process of building detailed requirements, ensuring solutions meet public sector compliance, security, and functionality standards.
- Work closely with public sector stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine business needs, translating them into actionable product backlogs.
- Oversee and refine Agile processes, ensuring engineering teams are aligned on priorities and deliverables.
- Drive delivery of user-centric solutions, partnering with UX/UI teams to ensure intuitive, accessible, and modern interfaces.
- Maintain focus on scalable, cloud-based SaaS architecture, ensuring products meet performance, security, and compliance benchmarks.
- Align solutions with frameworks such as CJIS, NEIM Data Framework, NODS Standards, and security requirements.
- Foster collaboration between stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams, ensuring transparency and proactive management of risks and blockers.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance and user adoption to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Serve as the key advocate for modernizing public sector court systems, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and market demands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner delivering enterprise software solutions, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams responsible for requirements gathering and product delivery.
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Proven ability to gather and manage complex requirements and deliver clear, prioritized product backlogs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Ability to conduct research into application products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with public sector software, specifically court systems, case management, or similar government solutions.
- Industry knowledge of court systems and workflows.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CJIS, FedRAMP, NIEM Data Framework, NODS Standards, and security requirements.
- Experience with modern web-based SaaS product development and delivery.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and collaboration tools such as Figma.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and government client relationships.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures and scalable solutions.
