Okta Go-To-Market (GTM) Sourcing team is looking to hire a strategic procurement specialist who will help support the sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing for the business teams in the GTM category. The primary purpose of this position is to maximize the value and minimize the risk associated with contracts and procurement-related activities. This position will manage and guide internal business partners through the daily activities within the contract and purchasing processes in procuring events, sponsorships, campaigns, tangible goods, travel, SaaS, applications, professional services at the minimum while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations in accordance with Okta’s Sourcing and Procurement policies and procedures. This position will work with a wide variety of vendors and business partners which provides great opportunities to learn and expand.
- Own strategic sourcing projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with GTM business partners to identify requirements and lead supplier selection activities including conducting RFI’s, RFP’s, etc.
- Negotiate with vendors; align on pricing and business terms with suppliers including but not limited to RFXs, SLAs, termination, renewals, in order to get the best deal and mitigate risk
- Manage a list of contract expirations to assure that business goals are met.
- Collaborate with contract management/legal and business to ensure contracts are up to par.
- Collaborate with security team and business teams to reduce vendor risk on each sourcing project
- Maintain updated documentation in the Company’s contract repository.
- Provide sourcing help in M&A integrations with contract consolidation efforts
- Will be responsible for specific supplier relationships.
- Build partnership and serve as liaison between Procurement and a variety of GTM business units related to procurement activities.
- Conduct queries of the Company’s procurement database to provide business guidance.
- Promote department initiatives.
Basic Requirements:
- Experience with GTM business partners in the sourcing and procurement space
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay process
- Experience with ERP and financial systems. Familiarity with Coupa, Workday/ScoutRFP is a plus.
- Proficiency with reporting and analytics
- Great communicator with good interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
