CLIENT OVERVIEW:
Our client is a global Food & Beverage company. They are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team!
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$20 – $26/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for processing POs for various departments across the organization. The Procurement Specialist will work with key stake holders to negotiate contacts and ensure compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes
- Expedite purchases and maintain an updated delivery schedule
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned
- Support relevant departments with quotations
- Resolve issues regarding invoices, product quality and/or delivery time frames
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:
- 5+ years of Procurement experience
- Good negotiation and time management skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field is required
