Schedule: 9×80 (Every other Friday off)

About the Role:
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join its Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a passion for procurement, analytics, and process improvement. You will play a key role in transforming procurement processes, optimizing supplier performance, and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Develop and execute strategies to improve supplier performance, including harmonizing metrics and conducting regular business reviews.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, procurement efficiency, and cost reduction (COPP).
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate supplier-related risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align data and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Cost Reduction: Lead value engineering efforts, such as parts selection, design for manufacturability, and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Data Visualization: Develop automated metrics using tools like SQL, Tableau, and SAP/P2P to visualize performance trends and forecast disruptions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, procurement, subcontract management, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like SQL, Tableau, SAP/P2P, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in materials planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
  • Knowledge of supplier capacity analysis, surveillance questionnaires, and surveys.
  • Ability to develop Excel macros and automate data processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills with vendors and internal stakeholders.
