Schedule
- Full-time, remote position

- Occasional collaboration across teams and departments
Responsibilities
- Contact payors for eligibility, benefit information, and authorization requirements
- Obtain and process prior authorizations and pre-certifications for medical services
- Submit accurate authorization requests and supporting documentation
- Follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain detailed records of authorization activity
- Stay current on payer requirements and policy changes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and payers to resolve authorization issues and appeals
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years in healthcare administration or prior authorization processes
- 1+ years of experience with prior authorizations in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or orthopedics
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures and payer guidelines
- Ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and insurance payers
- Medical Assistant Certification or 5 years’ experience in a provider office setting (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
