Schedule
- Full-time, remote position
- Preferred hours: 8am–5pm CT
- Collaborative, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Obtain timely prior authorizations and pre-determinations from commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage plans.
- Select accurate and relevant medical records from client EMRs.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance details.
- Submit required clinical information to insurers to facilitate authorizations.
- Document all authorization requests, follow-ups, and determinations in company software or client EMRs.
- Maintain updated lists of payer requirements, contacts, and processes.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare prior authorizations.
- Familiarity with submitting prior authorizations and medical terminology (Oncology preferred).
- Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and reliability.
- Basic computer literacy and EMR experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
