Job Description Summary
The Philanthropy Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to the philanthropy advisors to help plan and execute strategies for engaging with current and potential donors. This person will play a critical role in supporting the moves management plans for major donor caseloads, key Advancement event initiatives and related functions in helping engage people in the Bible translation movement. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and customer service skills are required.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong understanding of the donors on philanthropy advisor caseloads.
- Maintain familiarity with nuances and different processes between donors to Wycliffe USA versus donors to the wider Bible translation movement via illumiNations.
- Ensure that commitments and fulfillments are tracked, credited and allocated effectively.
- Work with philanthropy advisors on coordinating moves management plans for their caseloads including mailing gifts, assisting with donor touchpoints, personalizing letters, and preparing reports.
- Connect with donors and external constituents to coordinate meetings, gift follow-up, event logistics and other assignments as needed.
- Provide administrative support to philanthropy advisors related to expense reports, Salesforce activities, contact management, gift allocation, and opportunity lookup.
- Provide administrative support for philanthropy advisors by developing, managing and delivering key donor information for visits and gatherings.
- Manage the development of donor reports for caseload donors and high profile donors/organizations.
- Collaborate with other senior philanthropy advisors, Ronald Blue Trust (RBT), Wycliffe Foundation, and other key partnerships, particularly in relation to providing ministry to donors and adding value to the relationship.
- Identify relevant impact stories for donors that represent Wycliffe’s strategic priorities, and share them with the philanthropy advisory team.
- Proactively coordinate with project marketing and philanthropy advisors on the timely delivery of all project reports to donors.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 10% of the time).

- Must have a strong reliable internet and phone connection. Ability and willingness to alter work schedule in order to work evenings or on weekends as required by the position.

- Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Demonstrates desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation. Must understand and hold no reservations regarding the Biblical principles of fundraising.
- Physical Abilities: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and stand for prolonged periods at events.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, juggle multiple tasks, organize time effectively, conduct research and identify resources for projects. Skilled at coordinating complex meetings and travel arrangements.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both in groups and individually to meet goals and to develop strong working relationships with internal staff and external constituents.
- Keen attention to details without losing sight of the bigger picture, including monitoring and double-checking work and information for accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrates intuition, anticipates needs and proactively works to resolve issues. Ability to use appropriate judgment about which decisions can be made independently, including appropriate people in the decision making process as needed.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, and CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training. Experience supporting senior leadership, using Salesforce, and event planning highly desirable.

- Minimum starting pay for this position is $20.50/hr. but may be higher based on education, experience and skills.
