Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Must live within 75 miles of: CVS Specialty site, 800 Biermann Ct Ste B, Mt Prospect, IL 60056
- Application accepted on an ongoing basis
Responsibilities
- Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
- Calculate doses, assign directions, and verify insurance payments.
- Communicate with doctors’ offices and insurance companies to confirm prescription details.
- Answer patient calls to process new orders and reorders, verifying and re-verifying benefits.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, accuracy, and compassionate service in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active, valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License/Certification.
- 6+ months pharmacy work experience.
- 6+ months experience with Windows-based applications and strong data entry skills.
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8–10 hours and use a keyboard consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service or healthcare experience.
- Medical billing/coding or insurance knowledge.
- Experience handling customer needs by phone.
Pay Range
- $17.00 – $31.30/hour (based on experience)
- Eligible for CVS Health bonus or short-term incentive programs.
