About the Role
As a Processing Associate, you will be responsible for the accurate reading, interpretation of, and data entry of all prescriptions into the computer system while being responsible for secondary billing and troubleshooting third-party rejections. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately translate and enter prescription information into the pharmacy database according to state regulations.
- Provide precise and timely information to customers regarding medications, insurance coverage, and pharmacy services.
- Verify insurance information and process insurance claims.
- Communicate with pharmacists and other team members to clarify prescription details and resolve any related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements

- You are located in the state of New York or New Jersey and have 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician with PTCB certification preferred, but not required.
- You are familiar with general pharmacy terminology, including SIG codes, and brand and generic names of medications.
- You are available to work within the operating hours: Hours: Monday – Friday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- You have access to a reliable computer with audio and video capabilities, including high-speed internet of at least 100 Mbps
- You work hard and enjoy the process, combining emotional intuition for a great consumer experience with analytical rigor to improve pharmacy processes, celebrating wins along the way.
