Overview
The People Solutions Field Manager, Central is responsible for facilitating employee relations and resolving both human resource and compliance issues on behalf of Foot Locker. The role focuses to advance team member relations and accelerate healthy working relationships.

The People Solutions Field Manager will address matters in all potential work scenarios as they provide advice on how to effectively deal with employees, especially in difficult situations. Specifically, they promote an orderly but friendly work environment to increase productivity through the supervision of the behavioral problems of team members, facilitate and encourage resolutions, and training to enable maximum output to meet the standards of the company. To be effective in this role they must demonstrate exceptional knowledge and remain current of local, state, and federal legislation governing their designated business group.

Responsibilities
Conduct complex and sensitive employee investigations, including determining appropriate investigation strategies, summarizing findings, and recommending appropriate resolutions.
Consult and partner collaboratively with all stakeholders to include Legal, HR, and the Field Customer Experience team.
Create well-written investigation-related documents, including talking points and action plans.
Accountable for management of caseload.
Interpret and apply understanding of business practices, corporate policies, regulations, federal, state, and local employment laws to include complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
Assist Legal with litigation and agency claims.
Analyze ER data to determine themes, trends, and root causes to provide insights/recommendations.
Works in partnership with the Sr. Director, People Solutions to identify, create, and enforce new and evolving ER challenges across the Foot Locker organization to prevent adverse impact, mitigate risk, and bolster organizational change.
Promote knowledge and understanding of Company policies and of relevant employment laws through coaching, presentations, and training.
Create and assist in conjunction with the Sr. Director, People Solutions the designing of programs that ensure the fair treatment of employees and effective communication between employees and managers.
Accountable to address and resolve team member concerns in a positive manner that benefits all parties and facilitates healthy work relationships.
Assist with ideation of employee relations content, project work, and other duties as assigned
Must keep Employee Relations legislation expertise for assigned governing territory
Qualifications
The People Solutions Field Manager should have a passion for working with diverse groups of people and a knack for problem-solving. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline, prior experience in the HR sector are required, and PHR or SHRM-CP certification or equivalent highly desired.
Minimum of 6+ years Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, or equivalent role experience
Demonstrated experience leading a wide variety of complex employee investigations.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to take direction in a matrixed organization
Demonstrated investigation and consultative skills
Advanced understanding of employment and HR related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices, including Title VII, ADA, ADAA, and FMLA
Ability to oversee highly sensitive and confidential matters with compassion and equity
Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping all partners and leaders informed
Experience working with senior executives in an “influence-without-authority” role
Ability to position self as credible, proactive and a trusted thought-partner
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong time management and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including verbal and written

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $80,000 – $85,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
