- Reports to the People Operations Manager
- Salary range: $90,000 – $100,000
What You’ll Do
- Process bi-weekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll for U.S. remote staff.
- Manage payroll tax accounts and compliance across multiple states.
- Oversee employee benefits including enrollments, billing, and qualifying life events.
- Partner with benefits brokers to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Conduct audits of benefit programs, payroll deductions, and carrier data.
- Support open enrollment, benefit audits, and year-end payroll activities.
- Continuously improve payroll and benefits processes for accuracy and efficiency.
What You Need
- 2+ years of multi-state payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Strong understanding of LOA administration and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS/payroll software (Rippling a plus), Excel/Google Sheets.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
- Passion for serving individuals with complex health and social needs.
