Role Summary

The Payroll Specialist II provides end-to-end payroll processing support for OSV’s Managed Payroll customers. You’ll manage multiple customers with varying deadlines, troubleshoot payroll issues, configure Workday pay components, and ensure compliance with payroll processes and year-end reporting. This role is 100% remote (U.S. based) and part of a collaborative customer team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as named Payroll Specialist for Managed Payroll and Administrative customers.
  • Respond to cases daily, meeting SLAs and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalations, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
  • Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly client calls; support new client transitions.
  • Configure Workday pay components, deductions, run categories, and support year-end processes.
  • Troubleshoot quarter/year-end audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain payroll support documentation and ensure process accuracy.
  • Collaborate with peers and customer teams to resolve requests efficiently.
  • Meet quality, production, and performance scorecards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience (including research, troubleshooting, and compliance)
  • 3+ years of customer service experience at a professional level
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and multi-jurisdiction payroll
  • Year-end and W-2 support experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred

  • Experience in payroll outsourcing or tax services
  • Knowledge of Workday and Salesforce
  • Background in an outsourcing or BPaaS environment
