Job Summary
The Payment Posting Escalation Specialist manages escalated posting issues, researches and resolves higher-level account concerns, and supports audits and training initiatives. You’ll serve as a key point of resolution for internal teams and client services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle escalations from team members and client services to ensure accurate, timely resolution
- Research and resolve client-related issues escalated by Client Success
- Support departmental training and audits as requested
- Provide process improvement feedback to leadership
- Manage special projects related to payment posting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience posting insurance payments in a healthcare setting
- 1+ year in an escalation/lead role in payment posting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience reading insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements (preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of insurance payer types and EOBs
- Resolution-driven with strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communicator, professional and tactful in diverse interactions
- Detail-oriented with strong math and 10-key skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
