Schedule
- Remote position with a set schedule between 7am–7pm Central
- Must be available for consistent, reliable attendance
- Flexible work hours when possible
Responsibilities
- Accept and process assigned 835 batches
- Correct remittance errors within 835 batches
- Post Self-Pay remittances to Guarantor/Patient accounts
- Manually post EOBs from EFT and paper checks, including denials and follow-up details
- Close batches by verifying all payments are entered and control totals match
- Post insurance recoupments per 835 or paper EOB using correct payment codes
- Research and post unidentified payments to the correct account
- Work unmatched 835’s, including missing payments
- Complete tasks assigned by Lead or Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of Revenue Cycle Management experience
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs
- Knowledge of primary, secondary, and tertiary insurances
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Quick adaptability to multiple software applications
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
