This is a senior payer contracting role focused on Medicaid expansion. You’ll own the strategy and execution to secure state Medicaid licenses and Managed Care Organization (MCO) contracts that grow Babylist Health’s footprint in high-birth-volume states.

What You’ll Do
- Own the Medicaid expansion roadmap: state prioritization, licensing sequence, and MCO penetration targets
- Partner with outside consultants to submit Medicaid DME license applications in prioritized states
- Lead direct MCO contracting: outreach, negotiation, execution, and relationship management
- Build payer pipelines via trade associations, events, and network relationships
- Negotiate contract terms that balance access, operational feasibility, and margin
- Build scalable contracting processes, playbooks, and best practices from scratch
- Partner with Ops, Billing, Legal, Product, and Finance to model ROI and ensure contracts go live cleanly
- Protect downstream performance by ensuring Medicaid growth doesn’t increase denials, AR issues, or harm patient experience
- Track success through licenses won, MCO contracts executed, access to Medicaid population, activation speed, and revenue contribution
What You Need
- 6–8+ years in payer contracting with deep Medicaid + MCO experience
- Track record securing state licenses and MCO contracts (DME / healthcare services preferred)
- Strong relationships with Medicaid agencies, MCOs, and trade groups
- Comfort operating in complex regulatory environments and getting hands-on in contract details
- Startup/high-growth experience is a plus
- Comfortable working in an AI-forward environment (AI tools used day to day)

Compensation
- $104,995 to $125,952 base (varies by location/experience; growth tied to performance and internal equity)
