Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST
- Remote within the U.S. (subject to telecommuter policy and speed test compliance)
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and manage wait times professionally
- Complete patient check-ins and check-outs, including insurance verification
- Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles; manage receipts and cashier box
- Answer phones, direct calls, schedule appointments, and confirm visit types
- Process walk-ins and maintain medical records and scheduling logs
- Handle medical records requests, scanning, filing, and correspondence
- Maintain a clean and organized waiting room environment
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, coworkers, and providers
- Support smooth patient flow and collaborate with the back office
- Resolve customer service concerns or elevate them to appropriate personnel
- Float to other areas or assist team members as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years in healthcare or customer service role
- 1+ years using clear written/verbal communication in a patient-facing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Call center experience (inbound/outbound calls)
- Appointment scheduling experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Medical records handling background
- Understanding of medical terminology
