Charlie Health is seeking a Patient Finance Specialist to guide clients and families through financial enrollment and insurance benefit navigation while supporting their mental health treatment journey. Responsibilities

  • Support clients and families post-admission with care coordination and financial onboarding
  • Place outbound calls, emails, and texts to ensure successful program enrollment
  • Help clients understand insurance benefits and complete financial enrollment steps
  • Act as liaison between clients and Charlie Health teams (Admissions, Billing, Utilization Review, Outreach, and Clinical)
  • Identify attendance gaps and proactively resolve barriers to treatment
  • Manage scheduling, rescheduling, and aftercare appointment coordination
  • Document client communications and progress accurately and on time
  • Meet KPIs such as financial agreements completed, issue resolution rate, appointment scheduling, and customer satisfaction scores

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years in customer/patient success, call center, or client support role
  • 1–2 years of Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience
  • 1–2 years of experience with contact center technology
  • Experience in health insurance or medical billing strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy for clients and families
  • Familiarity with HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with cloud-based communication and productivity tools (Slack, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, EMR)

Schedule: Must be available for one of the set shifts (Mon–Fri or Tues–Sat) and able to attend 2 weeks of full-time training.
