- Fully remote role
- Full-time, day shift
- Hourly pay range: $17.20 – $25.70 (based on location and experience)
- Eligible for sign-on bonus for qualified new hires
- Time and a half for Conifer-observed holidays
What You’ll Do
- Conduct bedside or phone interviews with patients and families to determine eligibility for federal, state, or private programs
- Identify all possible payor sources, including auto insurance, workers’ compensation, and private insurance
- Complete Confidential Financial Statement forms and assist with benefits applications
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the patient accounting cycle
- Perform financial clearance, including patient collections and referrals for financial assistance
- Follow up on government program applications and ensure timely resolution
- Build relationships with patients through strong communication and trust
- Conduct occasional field visits for skip tracing or document assistance
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social services, hospital admitting, or a related healthcare role
- Knowledge of federal, state, and county benefit programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently
- Comfort working across hospital and office environments, including patient-facing settings
