The Associate Collections Representative is responsible for insurance balances. Works daily with insurance companies handling unresolved inquiries/issues/denials with payers. Responsible for reviewing invoices and contacting various insurance companies for payment on outstanding claims in a timely manner for physician charges. Manage and process Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial claims on 1500/UB04 through the payers’ website. Submit reconsideration/appeals with supportive documentation as appropriate according to coding and specific insurance policies and procedures. Review correspondence and remittance for rejections and resolve as appropriate.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (6:30am – 6:00pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and review all correspondence from the home office
- Follow up on assigned insurance accounts.
- Assist all hospital employees with any needs that arise.
- Make outgoing insurance calls.

Required Qualification:
- High school diploma / GED (or higher)
- Basic Proficiency with Windows PC applications and MS Office (create, edit, format Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 1+ years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years in medical insurance billing and follow up experience
- Background in a medical/healthcare
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $15.00 – $22.02. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $15.00 – $24.13.
