Schedule

  • Full-time, remote
  • Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, or WV
  • Requires a distraction-free home workspace

What You’ll Do

  • Review open accounts to determine payment sources and follow up on billing statuses
  • Interpret payer contracts, EOBs, and remittance files to resolve payment discrepancies
  • Handle denials, variances, and credit balances with precision
  • Update patient information, document follow-ups, and maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Escalate account issues appropriately while meeting daily productivity and quality standards

What You Need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in billing or related healthcare roles
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing software, healthcare terminology, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote environment
