Two Chicks With A Side Hustle

This role is the front-end gatekeeper of care. If you’re the kind of leader who can run benefits verification, prior auth, and patient assistance like an operation (not a scramble), this is a serious seat. You’ll drive consistency, performance, and patient experience across onboarding and access workflows, especially for infusion and physician-administered therapies.

About Nira Medical
Nira Medical is a national partnership of physician-led, patient-centered independent neurology practices focused on expanding access to life-changing treatments. Department: Infusion & Revenue Cycle Management
Role focus: Patient Access Manager, Front End
Work is driven by onboarding volume, payer timelines, and care initiation deadlines

What You’ll Do

⦁ Oversee benefit verification, benefit exploration, and prior authorization performance for physician office and ancillary services
⦁ Lead patient assistance program operations, including eligibility assessment and connecting patients to the right support programs
⦁ Manage day-to-day operations of internal and external patient access/RCM teams, driving accountability, productivity, and quality
⦁ Improve patient experience by ensuring timely initiation of care and responsive support to patient and practice inquiries
⦁ Partner with regional teams, practice leaders, vendors, and centralized RCM to standardize workflows and remove bottlenecks
⦁ Support change management efforts by communicating updates, metrics, and operational insights to stakeholders
⦁ Train, coach, and guide teams and new hires as processes evolve or transition

What You Need

⦁ 3+ years of management or team lead experience in patient onboarding/intake or revenue cycle management
⦁ Strong experience leading benefits verification, prior auth, patient assistance, or related patient onboarding functions
⦁ Infusion revenue cycle experience strongly preferred, especially for specialty infusions or physician-administered therapies
⦁ Strong knowledge of revenue cycle best practices, payer coverage policies, and health plan benefit design
⦁ Ability to analyze intake/access processes and translate that into clear operational strategy
⦁ Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills
⦁ Strong problem-solving ability and comfort navigating complex transitions
⦁ Familiarity with EMR/EHR and RCM systems (Centricity, Athena, or similar) is a plus
⦁ Experience with change management, EDI enrollments, contract interpretation, and revenue cycle reporting is a plus

Benefits

⦁ Remote, full-time leadership role
⦁ High-impact operational ownership tied directly to patient access, time-to-treatment, and overall care experience
⦁ Opportunity to help scale and standardize workflows across a growing neurology practice network

Backbone note: this is not “manager in title only.” If they’re serious, you’ll be measured on speed to authorization, approval rates, turnaround time, patient assistance throughput, and complaint volume. If you apply, be ready to talk metrics you’ve owned and how you fixed bottlenecks.

If you’re ready to lead teams, tighten workflows, and keep patients from getting delayed by payer chaos, this is worth applying to now.

Happy Hunting,
