What You’ll Do

  • Audit outpatient facility coding using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers
  • Document changes with clear rationale, including where the supporting documentation lives
  • Stay current on regulatory changes
  • Manage multiple cases at once to keep workflow moving and meet turnaround expectations
  • Provide coder education through the audit process
  • Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and positive customer-facing energy
  • Follow AHIMA code of ethics
  • Operate comfortably in high-complexity work with strong teamwork/leadership habits

What You Need

  • 5+ years outpatient facility coding and/or auditing experience
  • CCS preferred (RHIA or RHIT also preferred)
  • Ability to maintain 95% accuracy rate
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other common EMRs

Pay

  • Estimated base pay: $35–$45/hr
