- Pay: $76,000 – $96,000 base salary (plus equity and benefits; final pay depends on qualifications, experience, and skillset)
What You’ll Do
- Support members via live chat, messaging, and phone with program steps, timelines, and GLP 1 medication fulfillment questions
- Triage inbound pharmacy calls for missing info, clarification requests, coverage issues, inventory, or shipping challenges
- Place outbound calls to confirm prescription status, coordinate refills, resolve fulfillment issues, and verify delivery details
- Collect, verify, and interpret insurance details related to medication access
- Check eligibility, coverage criteria, formulary placement, and potential costs using internal tools and payer portals
- Identify barriers like step therapy, documentation needs, or quantity limits and guide members through next steps
- Support prior authorization workflows by gathering required details and setting clear expectations
- Manage non clinical access from prescription initiation to coverage determination, fulfillment, and delivery
- Resolve common pharmacy rejects and benefit issues and prioritize time sensitive cases
- Escalate safety concerns or clinical red flags to the appropriate team
- Communicate with empathy and care around chronic conditions and medication related topics and de escalate frustration
- Document interactions accurately and contribute to SOPs, scripts, and knowledge articles as workflows evolve
- Surface trends and friction points to operations and product partners and hit targets for response time, quality, and satisfaction
- Follow PHI and privacy rules, stay within non clinical scope, and support fraud prevention workflows tied to high demand meds
What You Need
- 3+ years member facing support experience in pharmacy benefits, healthcare, or insurance
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, benefits structures, and medical claims workflows
- Experience with claims processing and reimbursement, including reviewing documentation and resolving payment issues
- High attention to detail and strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and a high empathy approach for sensitive topics
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zendesk
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross functionally
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Nice to have:
- Experience supporting GLP 1 or other specialty meds with heavy insurance requirements
- Familiarity with prior authorizations, pharmacy rejects, benefit investigations, and fulfillment workflows
- Experience coordinating with pharmacies, prescribers, or clinical operations teams
