This role is for someone who knows Medicare billing well enough to troubleshoot what happens after claims are submitted. You’ll work holds, denials, and incorrect payments, pushing claims to resolution with strong follow-through and tight attention to detail.

What You’ll Do
- Work Medicare claims that are:
- Pending too long
- Unable to be released
- Denied
- Incorrectly paid
- Review claims placed on hold, identify root causes, and resolve issues keeping them from processing
- Work denials by evaluating whether Medicare denied correctly and completing the appropriate follow-up
- Submit additional information to Medicare as needed to process claims correctly and/or file appeals
- Manage correspondence via mail and email, and handle any necessary refunds
- Maintain compliance with Medicare rules, regulations, and timely filing limits
- Complete other duties as assigned by management
What You Need
- Medicare billing experience (required)
- Strong computer skills with basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel knowledge
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to manage high volumes of work while meeting tight deadlines
- Comfort in metric-driven environments (calls monitored/scored and individual performance metrics is a plus)
- Ability to communicate calmly and professionally by phone
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organization and prioritization skills to manage assigned work
