What You’ll Do
- Prepare and submit hospital, physician, and clinic claims to third-party insurance carriers
- Secure required medical documentation for insurance billing
- Follow up with insurance carriers on unpaid claims until resolved or only self-pay balance remains
- Process rejections by correcting errors and resubmitting claims
- Manage denial cases and file appeals as appropriate
- Consistently meet production and quality assurance standards
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information
- Assist with team projects and support high-profile customer accounts
- Participate in company-offered educational opportunities to stay current
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 1–3 years of billing experience, Medicare and D.D.E. experience required
- Familiarity with hospital and physician billing workflows
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with high-profile accounts and complex processes
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in billing systems and Microsoft Office
