What You’ll Do
- Accurately transcribe patient histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Enter patient information in real-time during consultations
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless documentation
- Review and edit charts for completeness and compliance
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling and correspondence
What You Need
- Previous experience as a medical scribe or in healthcare preferred (not required)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems a plus
- Strong typing and transcription skills with high accuracy
- General computer literacy and EHR proficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Certifications: CMSS or HIPAA certification preferred but not required
