About the Role:

We seek a candidate with experience with medical scheduling, who is a team player with exceptional interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills, who is passionate about being part of a health-care team and excited to work in a non-traditional telemedicine practice environment.  This is a full-time opportunity; work is remote but will be supporting clinicians and patients on west coast therefore candidates must be able and willing to work the following hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST / 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling patient appointments for new patient appointments to ensure patients are being seen in a timely manner; also updating patient records and maintaining accurate and up-to-date appointment schedules
  • Using an internal scheduling tool to help increase provider utilization; will use provider utilization as a tool to determine which clinicians to focus on and as a measure of availability within each clinicians schedule 
  • Coordinating with practice operations to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and time slots
  • Confirming appointments with patients and sending out reminders
  • Handling cancellations, rescheduling, and rejoining requests
  • Continuous process improvement, ability to suggest workflows that improve efficiency and experience
  • Filing documentation into a patient’s chart that may include medical records, prior authorization keys, referrals, prior authorization determinations
  • Other duties as assigned

We seek applicants who: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Scheduling experience with multiple clinician schedules and various appointment types, preferably within a high volme, multi-state telehealth practice
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to effectively work in a remote environment and connect via multiple communication channels (phone, email, text, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Strong organizational skills and strong ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills – will be working with our custom-built and evolving IT systems
  • College degree preferred; but also a combination of a relevant certification and related experience will be considered

Hourly Pay Range

$16 – $22 USD
